Handmade in Italy Gold Masquerade Ball Mask

This bejeweled mask is hand-painted in Venice in the tradition of the mascherari (maskmakers). Named after a servant girl character in Italy’s theatrical Commedia dell’Arte, the Colombina (“little dove” in Italian) is a half-mask created so as to not fully conceal her beautiful face.

I was able to obtain a limited number of these absolutely gorgeous, high quality hand made (in Italy) Costume Ball Masquerade Masks. Each mask is a confection of Gold and Ivory with jewels, feathers and golden trims galore.
