The poke bonnet was a popular style during the Regency. This bonnet is trimmed with satin ribbons, vintage pink satin and lace box pleat trim, antique wedding dress lace (heavenly tiny pin tucks and lace) and a cluster of pink feathers and roses. It is quite possibly my most favorite bonnet I've ever made, and I only have supplies to make three of them! When they are gone, they are gone.
I was inspired by this gorgeous fashion plate, though obviously we went where whimsy took us. The satin ribbon and box pleat trim is on the crown and brim of the bonnet only, with the back left plain.
