Lydia Did you know that Jane Austen's mother was married in her red riding habit in 1764? It was presumably her nicest gown in an age when women did not often have a designated wedding dress, worn for only that one day. The lovely habits of the day (see the additional photos) were my inspiration for trimming these 100% wool tricorn hats. They are one size (and would also work well for a rakish buccaneer) and can be trimmed with the white feather trim, hand stitched on, as shown, with 1/2" gold braid around the edge and a jaunty button, or plain, with no trim so you can make your own choices.
